Pan-India IT Services Delivered from Karur, Tamil Nadu
Trusted by businesses across all 28 Indian states + 8 union territories — from textile exporters in Karur to SaaS startups in Bangalore, hospitals in Mumbai, and retail brands in Delhi.
India is the world's fifth-largest economy by nominal GDP and one of the fastest-growing major digital markets. The country is home to roughly 75 million MSMEs, more than 800 million internet users, and a near-universal Aadhaar identity layer that makes paperless onboarding routine for any business that wants it. UPI alone clears more than ten billion transactions every month — the largest real-time payment volume of any country in the world. For an Indian business in 2026, "going digital" is not a future initiative; it is the cost of staying open.
Redpulse Software is an IT company headquartered in Karur, Tamil Nadu, working with businesses across India since 2010. We build websites, mobile apps, custom software, e-commerce platforms, and digital-marketing engines for clients in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and dozens of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in between. This page is the long version — what an Indian buyer should actually expect from a serious IT partner, what good pricing looks like, and where Tier-2 delivery beats Bangalore-bracket pricing without cutting quality.
The India digital opportunity in 2026
Three structural shifts make this the most productive moment in India's history to invest in digital infrastructure for an SME or mid-market business. First, the public digital stack — Aadhaar for identity, UPI for payments, DigiLocker and Account Aggregator for documents and consented data, ONDC for commerce — has been productionised across the country. Any new business application can plug into national rails for KYC, payments, invoicing, and discovery without rebuilding the primitives. Second, smartphone penetration crossed the saturation point in most metros and is approaching it in Tier-2/3. The buyer you are trying to reach is on a mid-range Android with a 4G or 5G connection, comparing your product against a global competitor on the same screen. Third, India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime, in force since 2017, has made inter-state digital commerce administratively simple in a way it was not a decade ago.
That combination — public infrastructure, mobile-first audience, unified tax regime — is why Indian SMEs are now buying the same kind of software that, ten years ago, only enterprises commissioned. The expectations have shifted with the capability. A boutique manufacturer in Tirupur now expects a B2B portal with role-based pricing, GST-correct invoicing, and a Tally or Zoho Books export. A 30-bed hospital in Madurai expects an appointment flow that respects WhatsApp, OTP login, and printable Hindi/Tamil prescriptions. A coaching institute in Coimbatore expects a learning- management system that survives a 4G connection at 7pm on a school night. All of this is achievable with the platforms that already exist; the work is to build the right thing for the right buyer.
Why Tier-2 IT delivery beats Bangalore pricing
The most common myth among Indian SME buyers is that quality software requires a Bangalore postcode. It does not. The economics are simple: a Bangalore-based agency carries Bangalore office rent, Bangalore engineer salaries, and a sales overhead built around Series-A clients, and must price every engagement to absorb that cost base. A Tier-2 firm with the same engineering stack — React, Next.js, Node.js, Laravel, Flutter, React Native, AWS, Cloudflare, Postgres — does not. The result is that the same scope that quotes at ₹3.5–5 lakhs in Bangalore typically quotes at ₹1.5–2.5 lakhs from a Tier-2 team, with the same code review standards, the same tooling, and the same SLAs. The difference is not the engineer; it is the property tax and the customer-acquisition cost being amortised into the line item.
The honest caveat is that Tier-2 pricing depends on the firm having done the work. Quality is not a function of city; it is a function of engineering culture, code review, repeatable architecture, and a portfolio to point at. Ask any vendor — including us — for production URLs, ask whether they own the GitHub repo or the client does, ask how they handle hotfixes after launch, and ask whether someone signs the work or whether it floats anonymously through a project manager. Tier-2 is a pricing advantage. Engineering is a discipline. Both have to be present.
The Indian payment and compliance stack
Building for Indian buyers means designing around an Indian payments reality, not patching a global checkout to accept rupees. The serious options are Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, CCAvenue, and BillDesk for card and netbanking; UPI through any of the above or directly through PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm collect-request flows; and EMI / Pay-Later via Razorpay's no-cost EMI, ZestMoney, and Simpl where the basket size justifies it. For subscription products, Razorpay Subscriptions and PayU Mandates handle the e-NACH and UPI Autopay flows that Indian regulators require for recurring debits. We integrate the right stack for the business model, not a default.
On the compliance side, three obligations matter for almost every Indian application. GST-compliant invoicing requires HSN/SAC codes, GSTIN of the supplier and recipient where applicable, place-of-supply logic for inter-state transactions, and reverse-charge handling where it applies — invoices that fail this fail input-credit reconciliation, which means your customer's accountant is unhappy. TDS and Form 16A apply when professional services or rent are paid above the threshold; we provide the documentation that Indian accounts teams need without negotiation. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) is the new baseline: any application that collects personal data from Indian residents needs explicit consent, a stated purpose, the ability to withdraw consent, and a Data Protection Officer if the volume is significant. We design data schemas with deletion and export endpoints from day one — retrofitting DPDP into a finished product is expensive.
Building for an Indian-language, mobile-first audience
India is not one market. It is at least a dozen, separated by language, device economics, and bandwidth. A serious Indian product is built mobile-first as a default — not as a responsive afterthought of a desktop layout, but as a Lighthouse-conscious mobile experience tested on a mid-tier Android over a throttled 4G connection. Page weight matters, font subsetting matters, image format matters (AVIF and WebP, not JPEG), and touch targets matter. We test against Lighthouse, Chrome's network throttling, and real low-end devices because the buyer in Salem or Tiruppur is on a phone you do not own.
Language is the second axis. English remains the lingua franca of Indian B2B — most enterprise dashboards, admin panels, and corporate-buyer interfaces are English-only and that is fine. But consumer-facing surfaces increasingly need at least one regional language, and often more. We have shipped products in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, and Punjabi. The technical pattern is the same — Next.js i18n routing, ICU message format, server-rendered language detection — but the editorial work is local. Translation is a copywriter's job, not Google Translate's. We work with native-speaker reviewers for any consumer surface that ships in a language other than English.
Sector-by-sector: where Indian businesses get the most leverage
SaaS & technology startups — Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, and Gurugram remain the engine rooms of Indian SaaS, but the founders we work with are increasingly distributed. The MVP playbook is well understood: a Next.js + Postgres + Redis baseline, Stripe or Razorpay for global plus India billing, a thoughtful onboarding flow, and a one-week iteration cadence. The mistake we see most often is buyers paying agency rates for what should be a productised MVP. We package startup MVPs with a fixed scope, a fixed price, and a fixed timeline so the founder can compare apples to apples.
Manufacturing and exports — Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Punjab carry most of India's industrial output. Buyers in this segment do not want a brochure website; they want a B2B portal with a working catalog, a request-for-quote workflow, role-based pricing, GST-correct invoicing, and a clean export to Tally or Zoho Books. Increasingly they also want WhatsApp Business API integration so that a quote becomes a conversation in the channel the buyer already uses. We build all of this on a stack the in-house IT team can host or hand off to anyone, because manufacturing buyers — correctly — distrust vendor lock-in.
Healthcare — hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs, and telemedicine startups all need the same five primitives: appointment booking, OPD/IPD records with consented sharing, lab-report delivery via WhatsApp or SMS, doctor-side dashboards, and DPDP-compliant audit logs. The serious work is in the workflow design, not the framework. We have shipped patient portals for clinics that needed Hindi and Tamil prescriptions, hospital management systems that integrated with existing HIS software, and telemedicine flows that survived rural bandwidth. We do not touch ABDM (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) integrations casually — anyone who promises that on a fixed-price basis without reading your existing data model is selling you risk.
E-commerce and retail — Indian e-commerce is not Shopify with a different logo. The right stack depends on scale and margin. For SKU counts under a few hundred and predictable volume, Shopify with Indian payment plugins is fastest to launch. For larger catalogs, multi-warehouse inventory, custom pricing tiers, or marketplace-grade complexity, we build on Next.js + Medusa or a custom Laravel + Vue stack with a proper PIM. ONDC integration is becoming a real consideration for any retailer that wants discovery beyond Amazon and Flipkart, and the technical work is non-trivial; we treat it as a scoped project, not a checkbox.
Education and edtech — coaching institutes, schools, and edtech startups all share one technical truth: their users are on bad networks at peak hours. A learning-management system that loads fine in your browser on office Wi-Fi but stutters on a student's 4G at 7pm is a failed product. We design LMS platforms with progressive loading, video-segmentation for variable bandwidth, offline-capable PWA shells where it matters, and assessment flows that survive reconnects. The content side — courseware, question banks, certifications — we structure but do not author; that is a subject- matter job.
BFSI and FinTech — banks, NBFCs, insurance brokers, loan-origination platforms, and wealth-tech apps all live in a regulated regime that is tightening, not loosening. RBI's master directions on digital lending, IRDAI's guidelines on web aggregators, and DPDP together define the perimeter. We build for compliance from the schema up: explicit consent flows, immutable audit logs, role- based access control with break-glass procedures, encrypted PII at rest with managed keys, and clear separation between production and developer access. We do not take BFSI work where the buyer does not have, or is not building, the regulatory layer to receive it.
How we deliver across India from a Tier-2 base
The remote-first delivery model is not a euphemism for "we will email you sometimes." It is a discipline. Every active engagement runs on a weekly video call with the client lead, a shared project board (Linear, Jira, or Trello — the client's choice), a staging URL accessible to the client at every push, and a WhatsApp or Slack channel for fast questions. Code lives in the client's GitHub or GitLab where the client wants it to; we do not hold repositories hostage. Documentation is written as we go, not as a deliverable at the end.
For Indian metros — Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad — we offer quarterly on-site visits as part of the standard engagement. For Tamil Nadu, we travel more frequently because we are based here. For international clients, we work in the client's time zone for at least four overlap hours per day. The point is not that we live on a plane; it is that physical presence is available where it changes the outcome and that the engagement does not depend on it.
What an honest IT engagement costs in India today
Pricing transparency is a service in itself. The numbers below are typical Tier-2 rates we and comparable firms offer in 2026, in Indian rupees, exclusive of GST. They will move with scope and complexity, but they should give you a defensible baseline against any quote you receive.
- Brochure website (5–10 pages, CMS-backed): ₹25,000 – ₹75,000. Bangalore equivalent: ₹75,000 – ₹2,00,000.
- Custom business website with CMS, blog, and lead capture: ₹75,000 – ₹2,00,000. Bangalore equivalent: ₹2,00,000 – ₹5,00,000.
- E-commerce store (Shopify with India plugins): ₹60,000 – ₹2,50,000. Bangalore equivalent: ₹1,50,000 – ₹5,00,000.
- Custom e-commerce platform (Next.js + Medusa or Laravel): ₹3,00,000 – ₹10,00,000. Bangalore equivalent: ₹7,00,000 – ₹25,00,000.
- Mobile app MVP (Flutter or React Native, single platform): ₹2,00,000 – ₹6,00,000. Bangalore equivalent: ₹5,00,000 – ₹15,00,000.
- Custom B2B portal or SaaS MVP: ₹3,00,000 – ₹12,00,000. Bangalore equivalent: ₹8,00,000 – ₹30,00,000.
- SEO retainer (full-stack technical + content + link building): ₹25,000 – ₹75,000 / month. Bangalore equivalent: ₹50,000 – ₹1,50,000 / month.
- Performance marketing (Google Ads + Meta Ads management, ex media spend): 10–15% of media spend or ₹25,000 / month minimum. Bangalore equivalent: 15–20% or ₹50,000 / month minimum.
Plans on this site start at ₹9,999 for entry-level offerings — a single-page launch site for a new business, a basic SEO audit, or a Shopify storefront setup. Those are real prices for real scopes; we publish them because the Indian SME market is tired of "request a quote" buttons that return a number invented at the time of the conversation.
The four mistakes Indian buyers should avoid
Hiring on price alone. The cheapest quote in the Indian IT market is almost always a freelancer who will disappear at v2, or a body shop that subcontracts to whoever is free that week. Tier-2 pricing should land you a real team with real engineering process, not a bargain that costs more in rework than the original quote.
Buying a brochure when you need a portal. If your business runs on quotes, role-based pricing, or order workflows, a brochure website with a contact form is not the product. We see manufacturers spend a year on a beautiful marketing site and then realise their actual digital problem is the dealer portal nobody built. Buy the portal first.
Skipping GST and DPDP at the schema layer. Retrofitting compliance into a finished product costs more than building it in. Indian regulators are not going to relax. Plan for it now.
Treating SEO as the post-launch step. Search visibility is a function of information architecture, page hierarchy, schema markup, and content depth — none of which can be bolted on after a launch without a partial rewrite. The agencies that quote SEO as a separate module after the build is done are the ones whose builds need it most.
Working with us
Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call. We listen to the business problem, ask what has been tried, and respond with a written proposal in 24 hours that includes scope, timeline, milestone-linked pricing in INR, and a list of what is out of scope. Standard payment terms are 40% advance, 40% mid-project, 20% on launch — wired through UPI, NEFT, RTGS, or a Razorpay payment link. We issue GST invoices for every payment and provide TDS documentation as required.
If you are building digital infrastructure for an Indian business in 2026, the question is not whether to invest. It is who to invest with, on what terms, and at what cost. We are an honest answer to that question, headquartered in Karur, working across India, and operating since 2010. Talk to us when you are ready.
